Teaching Assistant Grade 4

The Headteacher and Governors at Darnhall Nursery and Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced and well-qualified teaching assistant to join our team. Our wonderful school has grown rapidly over the last few years – doubling in size to over 400 gorgeous children! For us it is about finding the right person to join Team D. We are very interested to hear about your interests, strengths and talents as well as your experience working as a teaching assistant.

The successful candidate will have a secure knowledge and understanding of the National Curriculum with experience working in Key Stage One. Knowledge and effective application of phonics is essential, as the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils’ early reading and language development. They will be patient and kind, have good relationships with pupils and staff and the children’s needs and well-being at the heart of their practice. They will work effectively as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
