15 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Part-time, Term Time Only)
(Monday to Friday 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Temporary Contract in the first instance
Salary: Grade 3 (£25,949 pro rata per annum)
The Governors of St. Theresa’s Catholic Primary School seek to appoint a Welfare Assistant to work within the EYFS department of the school.
Your work will be to support other staff within the department and wider school with the welfare needs of the children in our care. You will also help to supervise meal and snack times, help to organise play and learning activities and also support the gathering of information for the children’s learning journals. Occasionally you may be asked to support the work of the school with children in other departments or attend school visits etc. by arrangement and with notice.
The successful candidate will need to be understanding, dependable, caring and professional. You will need to be a supportive member of the school team and willing to be flexible. A secure understanding and awareness of Safeguarding expectations is essential. You will be required to complete an online Safeguarding course on appointment.
The Welfare Assistant at St. Theresa’s must fully uphold our strong Catholic ethos and support the wider work and the mission of the school to ensure that every child is able to achieve their full potential in learning, faith and wider social development.
This post is temporary in the first instance due to budget constraints.
