Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead
Grade 8: £35 570 – £40 470 FTE (Pro Rata, Term Time Only)

At The Bridge Short Stay School, we don’t believe a student’s past defines their future, we are looking for a child centred individual to support the welfare needs of students who have previously been permanently excluded.
The Bridge caters for students who have struggled in mainstream education; this is a new role, due to increasing numbers in the school. The successful candidate will foster good relationships with all stakeholders: students, parents, staff and external agencies in order to support the safeguarding needs and personal development of students.
Our work at the school is challenging but rewarding, staff have positive relationships with students who have struggled in mainstream schools and change lives on a daily basis. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is able to see the potential in young people and has a real passion for supporting them. The successful candidate will join a team of committed & like-minded individuals, dedicated to creating a positive future for our young people.
Informal discussions about the role are welcomed, please contact enquiries@thebridge.cheshire.sch.uk to arrange. For more information about the school please visit our website at www.thebridge.cheshire.sch.uk
This role is based in Ellesmere Port but will involve travel across Cheshire West and Chester for home visits and to attend multi-agency meetings.
The Bridge Short Stay School is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An online search will be completed for all shortlisted candidates, and enhanced DBS disclosure will be sought for the successful candidate in accordance with Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education legislation.
