Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant – Grade 6, Permanent
35 hours per week
39 weeks per year, which include INSET days
Salary Range - £28,598 to £31,022(FTE), £14.82 to £16.08 per hour (pay award pending)
We are seeking applications from candidates for the role of Teaching Assistant (including class cover), or TA6. As the post is at Grade 6, applicants should have the ability to occasionally cover a whole class.
Please note – this could be a grade 6 in any class across the school
The successful applicant will have:
- a minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
- experience in a special school or resource provision
- an understanding that different pupils require different approaches and an ability to adapt responses according to pupil need
- personal resilience and a team attitude
- ambition for our pupils to help them be the best they can in all areas
We can offer:
