Are you caring, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children? We are looking to appoint a friendly and reliable After School Club Assistant to join our happy and nurturing school community.
At The Dingle Primary School, we pride ourselves on providing a warm, welcoming environment where children feel safe, valued and inspired. We are seeking someone who enjoys engaging with children, supporting play and helping to create a fun and stimulating after-school experience.
Position Details
- Role: After School Club Assistant
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 5:00pm
- Working Weeks: 38 weeks per year (term time only)
- Location: The Dingle Primary School, Haslington
- Salary: £13.28 per hour
Main Responsibilities
- Supervising and caring for children attending the after-school club.
- Organising and participating in a range of fun, creative and recreational activities.
- Supporting children’s social, emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Providing a safe, positive and inclusive environment for all children.
- Working effectively as part of a friendly team.
- Following school safeguarding, health and safety procedures at all times.

- Enjoys working with children and helping them thrive.
- Is caring, patient and approachable.
- Has good communication and teamwork skills.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and able to use their own initiative.
- Has experience of working with children (desirable but not essential).
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
